Track also features on Ultramix 94 (part 07) altho I only just noticed that the Flash-based audio players on the Ultramix site don’t seem to work with the new version of Firefox (but they’re fine in IE) – will try and sort that out ASAP.

It just goes on and on on but not for one moment is the motoring monotony of ‘Acid Eiffel’ not in unison with every facet of human emotion but anger. You’re moving fast but the landscape around you, the exposed strips of red and white light, the elongated cascade of faces and structures, seem to be moving even faster. Sadder still, I only visited Paris for the first time this year and it just didn’t feel quite this bloody romantic. The greatest European techno-trance track of all time. Feel every beat, bell clap and bass tone.

- B-side of the ‘Time Bomb’ single but a dazzling track that blurs Graham Massey’s apparent interest in North African music with Carl Craig-ish techno formulae. Well I could only hold off from posting an 808 track for so long.

Blame – Ecstasy Takes You
- version of the heavenly hardcore anthem cast further into deep space and with added comical babbling, demonstrating as well as anything else how madcap and surreal this music felt whether you were high or not.

A few months back, to “celebrate” turning 30 I put together a 2 hour mix of tunes – one (or two) from each year from 1978 to 2008 – in chronological order. Nothing too serious but a general dance vibe and some nice transitions throughout. For the earlier years I could’ve used only tracks I loved at the time but this would’ve resulted in even more obvious picks, so it features tracks I didn’t discover until many years later by the likes of The Human League, Dollar, Whodini and Propaganda. And maybe only one mistake (the Renegade Soundwave track is not from ‘88 but one year later). So if you missed it, here’s another chance to check it out.
